Do we live to work or work to live? A question I am sure we’ve all heard at some point throughout our lives. Often, we seem to be caught up in life’s monotony, routines and schedules that we forget to breathe, to live, and to do the things we desire to do. Work, the staple to our physical being since the beginning of time: It is our way of earning, providing and acquiring the necessities that are needed in this life. For some, work can be their identity, for others, work can be just a job to make ends meet.
For me, life is and can be too short. Life is too short to worry about things that will not matter later on, it is too short to not follow your dreams, passions, and hobbies. It is too short to not see the places we want to see with our own eyes and experience the cultures throughout the rest of this world. Life is too short to only live part time.
Grateful that I have a friend like Fred and for him reminding me to LIVE FULL TIME. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to go fly fishing for the first time ever and Fred showed me the ropes. Tucked away in the mountains of the Poconos, this was a well needed break from New York City and a weekend of peace and solitude. My challenge to you is to always seek your peace. It is different for each and every one of us. For me, peace can be found through the river bends and out on the lakes, with a fishing pole in hand, a camera by my side, conversations filled with good stories alongside some great people. With that being said, go find your peace!!!
